The 63th edition of the Destination centre-ville’s Santa Claus Parade will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013.
THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS came to town on November 17!
Destination centre-ville’s Santa Claus Parade, the most popular Christmas event in Quebec, again enchanted young and old alike in November 2012. This tradition, in its 62nd year, kicked off the Holiday festivities in downtown Montreal.
For the fourth straight year, the charming Ima was delighted to play the role of the Fée des étoiles at Santa’s side, and 1,500 artists brought downtown Montreal to life as they ushered in the magic of Christmas. Hundreds of thousands of people watched the parade, which featured some 20 floats, along with singing, dancing and music.
The parade’s organizers were very proud to present a brand new float with the 14 artists of Star Académie 2012. In the spirit of the season and the release of their new Christmas CD, the Academicians put on an incredible show. Spectators also greatly appreciated the artists from the Québec Issime production Décembre, who appeared on a float depicting a Christmas market, with all its magic, colours and emotions.
