The 65th edition of the Santa Claus Parade Destination centre-ville
It will mark the arrival of the holiday season in downtown Montréal with the new Christmas Fairy Marie-Eve Janvier, the singer Michaël Girard, as well as several new features such as the floats for Le Grand Sapin, La Guerre des Tuques 3D and many more!
On Saturday November 21 at 11:00 am, the public is invited to come celebrate the arrival of the holiday season in downtown Montréal. Young and old are expected on Sainte-Catherine West, between Du Fort and Saint-Urbain streets, to experience the excitement of the most popular Christmas event in Quebec! The parade is a “must” to launch holiday celebrations and has become a tradition for thousands of visitors.
Presented by Destination centre-ville and produced by Daniel Bouchard, the Santa Clause Parade Destination centre-ville will once again feature more than twenty floats, including the Star Fairy’s and Santa Claus’s, a host of singers, dancers and street performers. And who can forget the many new features this year, including the brand new floats for Le grand Sapin, À la recherche du Pôle Nord and the highly anticipated La Guerre des Tuques 3D guest float presented by Natrel.
Among the various groups that will inspire Christmas magic over more than a kilometre are the polar bears, hosted by the singer Michaël who this year is presenting his brand new recording Nuit de Noël, an album of Christmas classics that captures the warmth and magic of the holidays.
Marie-Eve Janvier is the Christmas Fairy!
Each year, the Christmas Fairy’s presentation is one of the parade’s most eagerly awaited. This year, the sparkling Marie-Eve Janvier has the task of preparing the crowd for the arrival of Santa Claus. Without a doubt, her inner child will be filled with wonder aboard the magical float.
La Guerre des tuques 3D presented by Natrel !
Also new this year, Natrel will present a brand-new float featuring characters from La Guerre des Tuques 3D. Jonathan Painchaud will take part in this part of the parade, which will delight both children and their parents. This long-awaited film, based on the original that influenced an entire generation, will be in theatres beginning November 13.
