MELK Bar à café
- Café / sandwiches
- Quartier international
A brand new MELK Bar à café opened its doors last January at 908 Saint-Urbain. Located next to the East entrance of the Palais des Congrès and a stone's throw from the Place d'Armes metro station, the café welcomes you to a very urban and luminous setting, designed by Alexandre Baldwin, in collaboration with La Firme.
Dominique Jacques and Myriam Asselin, founders of MELK coffee shops, and the co-owners of the café (Taverne Square Dominion, Balsam Inn, and Bar Henrietta) have set themselves the goal of restoring a neighborhood atmosphere in the heart of the city. At MELK, the atmosphere is warm and everything is homemade, fresh and prepared the same day. The team works with local products and makes sure as much as possible to use organic products, from flour used for pastries to milk used to make coffee. As for the menu, which is entirely vegetarian, you can enjoy homemade pastries, including delicious scones (MELK specialty), as well as some salads and juices.
This branch is the third coffee shop in the mini-chain, after the opening of the first MELK in 2013 in Monkland, and the second in 2015 in the city center, rue Stanley.
