“Evocative, eccentric, eclectic and culturally significant” characterize Hôtel Chez Swann. This twenty-three room hotel is a departure from virtually everything that has been done to date in Montreal. More art driven than design driven, its brave new old-world aesthetic with flamboyant gestures, grand allusions and unbridled sensuality make it inarguably the true essence of a boutique hotel.
The design conception and direction by Mary Moegenburg throughout this renovated space is unique in the real sense of the word. It is lyrically sensuous, a work of deceptive richness, where the eye is free to register the play of light, color, texture, and materials.
Hôtel Chez Swann is more than a hotel. It is a full-fledged experience with
a spark of spontaneity found in theatre, on stage or an artist’s studio.
Hôtel Chez Swann is not a gallery, not a museum but a singular fully expressed eclectic vision.
