Vitrine sur l'Art - June 25 to Sept 30
- Secteur galeries marchandes
- Visual Art
All throughout the summer, major works of contemporary art will occupy the windows of vacant stores, over more than 1.5 km in the quadrilateral bounded by the streets of Sainte-Catherine, Shebrooke, Guy and De Bleury. In addition to promoting Canadian art and making it known to a wider audience, this experience helps to anchor the visual arts in the daily lives of citizens by creating a completely free artistic and original experience in the public space.
The showcases invested by contemporary art become extraordinary exhibition spaces, presenting major works from visual art galleries, private collections and original projects by artists. In addition to showcasing and promoting contemporary Canadian art to a wider audience, this initiative also makes it possible to beautify empty commercial spaces and thus contribute to the revitalization of a Montréal neighbourhood.
To be discovered all summer long in the vacant stores of downtown Montreal.
